Major fitment issues

The taillight assemblies from a B5 (1996–2001) and a B7 (2005–2008) are completely different in their physical design.

Body shape: The B5 features a squarer, more upright rear body design, while the B7 has a more rounded, modern shape.
Taillight cutout: The stamped body lines and the shape of the cutout for the taillights are not the same, making the B5 lights incompatible with the B7’s body.
Mounting points: The mounting tabs, bolts, and rubber grommets that hold the lights in place are in different locations and configurations on each chassis.
